Yuliya Nikolova-Joubert is a Paris-based photographer working in a documentary tradition, with two ongoing bodies of work: food as culture and ritual, and an emerging personal project on motherhood and the relationships between women across generations.

Her food work has been shot across Japan, France, and the Balkans, and she is currently completing a bilingual photo book on regional Japanese station bento culture. Her personal work is developed slowly, over long shooting periods, rather than for social media.
